Two-day Trip to Kanchanaburi

Who is into history and nature here? Come to the front, have a seat and strengthen your belt, because we are about to take off to our two-day trip to one of the silent witnesses of World War II in Thailand, Kanchanaburi.

Our trip started with exploring one of the iconic nature destinations in the area, a seven level waterfall called Erawan Waterfall. It took about one hour from the center of Kanchanaburi to the waterfall. Along the way to the waterfall, you will be presented with the natural beauty of Kanchanaburi, so riding a bike would be a great decision, because it helps to enjoy the atmosphere and the scenery fully, especially when we pass the dams and the bridge.

And never doubting how beautiful the waterfall is, it will give you a special offer on each level. And prepare yourself to swim with many big fish in level three. Don't miss a chance.

After spending hours in nature, we went to the hotel. We stayed at the River Kwai Bridge Hotel which is located on the riverside and only 300m away from the River Kwai Bridge. We had a beautiful sunset by sitting by the riverside, facing a hundred year old bridge, and the harmony of lights from the local houses.

We got a surprise at night when we were still chilling on the riverside. A floating restaurant splits the calm of the river and silences the harmony of nature for a while with it louds music. And we really enjoyed it.

The next day, we went to one of the famous temples called Tiger Temple. Founded in 1994 on the hilltop, this temple has a big Buddha and offers you great scenery from the hilltop.

We just feel like no matter how far we go, Kanchanaburi just never fails to give us such beautiful moments and scenery along the way. Take a look at how beautiful it was, the Chinese cemetery, the river and the scenery. It's all just fascinating.

We felt like this trip is not gonna be complete if we don't take a deep look at the history of Kanchanaburi.  So to close the trip, we went to a museum, quite far from the city and surrounded by banana plantations, Ban Kao National Museum. It has a unique building, like an orange box, but then it also has everything that happened in Kanchanaburi, from the humans, the culture and also the war that happened a long time ago.

Now, we just finished with the two-day trip to Kanchanaburi. Thank you for exploring with us and see you on the next trip.
